Maurizio Bolognini, artist and theoretician of the
new media, has been involved with digital technologies since the 80s.
His installations use and mix different programming and communication
devices (computers, telephones, networks). His now hundreds of
machines are programmed to function endlessly; some have been
functioning for over 15 years now.
He has carried out
extraordinary research into the panorama of technological arts where
he probably represents an extreme conceptual situation.
The work
of Maurizio Bolognini has been presented in Europe and in the USA on
numerous occasions.
His most recent personal exhibitions include :
the Museum of Contemporary Art Villa Croce, Genoa; the Laboratory of
Contemporary Art Museum, Rome; the Palace of Arts, Naples; the WAH
Center and the Roger Smith Lab, New York.
